About Ignite Fire Engineering

Ignite Fire Engineering Ltd was established in 2009 by Glyn Struthers.

Glyn is a qualified Mechanical Engineer with a Post Graduate Diploma in Building Fire Safety and Risk Engineering from Victoria University, Melbourne in 2003. Glyn has 20 years experience in the engineering industry and has worked in the building services, industrial and fire sectors in New Zealand, Australia and Asia.

Glyn is a member of IPENZ and is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng).

Glyn has worked in the consultancy sector and on large construction projects and is familiar with project delivery methodologies used by design professionals and construction companies.

Glyn recognises the importance of the involvement of key stakeholders in their project, particularly in the development of the fire safety design. His personal style is inclusive and consultative and encourages active involvement at all stages of the project.

Glyn’s background in mechanical services design means he is able to bring this experience to bear when developing fire safety design for your building. Glyn understands the interrelationships between fire safety and the mechanical, structural, electrical and architectural design elements of the building to deliver an integrated and coordinated design.
