Agriculture Africa - Niamey Abattoir & Coldstore, Niger, West Africa

This project involves design and construction of a new meatworks facility in Niger, West Africa.
Ignite Fire Engineering (IFE) provided fire engineering design services to the lead Consultant, GHD. IFE was responsible for;

• Identifying the appropriate design codes and standards to use for the project (Niger has no recognised Building Code)
• Developing fire safety strategy, taking into consideration local conditions and fire fighting capability.
• Preparing a fire safety design report and drawings for stakeholder approval.
• Performance-based technical specifications for fire services
